Last week, we traveled to SoHo to attend Dwell on Design's annual trade show. Our contribution: a 25′ ft. canvas open to all gallery-goers. We tapped our hometown favorite, Derek Cascio, to draw the original illustration, and then left it up to NYC to contribute the rest. Our friends at Wizard Studios (photo below) helped us set up shop.

As more attendees, including ASID CEO, Randy Fiser, filed in, Cafe Olivia came to life.

All the while, we were scouring the Big Apple (via Twitter, of course) for Friday's feature.

We connected with Kim Hall, an illustrator from Philadelphia, who won us over with her whimsical prints and patterns. Friday morning she took to the wall to the delight of design fanatics like Design Milk and Dwell.

Isn't it adorable, up close? Needless to say, we were in love with the final piece.

During much of the doodling, we sat in on a series of panels on the current state of design. For an overview of the highlights, check out the #DODNY14 conversation.

'Till next time, New York!

PS: We had a couple requests from visitors to see our space. Here's a sneak peek courtesy of WorkDesign Magazine.
